I’ve stayed at MySpace Hotel multiple times over the years—sometimes for weeks or even months at a time—due to our ongoing business activities. In fact, around 80% of our implementation and branding team stays here, with over 60 stays per quarter. We’ve always considered this place a reliable home base. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has completely changed that perception.

Upon arrival, I was surprised to be informed of a ₱200 parking fee—something that was not stipulated anywhere in the fine print. It also took a while for the staff to locate my reservation, which was concerning given our frequent bookings. When I showed them the fine print (clearly showing no mention of the fee), they waived the charge. Was this just an oversight or something else? It left me confused and skeptical.

I initially planned to check out the next morning and move to another hotel due to my discomfort with the service. However, my office had unknowingly already booked an additional night early that same morning, leaving me with no option but to stay. While I was moved to a better room (thankfully, at the same rate), the initial experience had already left a sour taste.
𝐑𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫
The most upsetting part of my stay happened late in the evening around 10:05 PM. After a long and exhausting day running a brand activation event, I parked my car—unintentionally in the PWD slot.
I was then approached rudely and sarcastically by the security guard, (the guy wearing fuschia with an earpiece), who demanded my PWD ID. I explained that I had it, but it was in my room. To my shock, he asked me to go upstairs and get it.
Already exhausted, I asked him, “Seriously? You want me to go up and down just to show it to you?” He replied, “Yes.” I then told him, “Why don’t you just come upstairs with me and see it for yourself since you’re not doing anything here?” He finally agreed but clearly wasn't happy about it. He joined me in the elevator, visibly irritated, and once I showed him the ID, he simply left—no apology, no courtesy.
𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤-𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐈𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 & 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
During check-out, the front desk again insisted I pay the ₱200 parking fee—even though it had been waived earlier by another staff member. I had to repeat the story just to get my ₱1,000 deposit back in full. This shows a lack of proper communication and record-keeping between shifts or staff members.
*******************
Let me be clear: this is not about entitlement. This is about basic respect and professional service. As paying guests—especially as long-term, high-volume clients—we deserve to be treated with courtesy and consideration. Your staff needs serious retraining on guest interaction, communication, and empathy. You never know how someone’s day went—being polite and respectful should never be optional.
Also, update your fine print if you are going to charge a ₱200 parking fee. Transparency matters.
This experience hits hard. We’ve always recommended MySpace to our finance team and colleagues, but after this, we will no longer be staying at this hotel. Consider this not just a review, but a wake-up call.

MySpace Hotel in BGC: A surprisingly great value!
For the price, especially considering the BGC location, MySpace Hotel is a fantastic find. The room I booked was on the smaller side, but you get a surprisingly good buffet breakfast included (though the selection is limited, it's still a buffet!). I was so happy with the complimentary orange juice in the lobby – I honestly lost track of how many refills I had! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond for my birthday, decorating our room with a sweet towel arrangement and giving us hotel mugs as a gift (we sadly couldn't take them home due to luggage restrictions). The shower was easy to use, and the internet? Blazing fast! My husband and I worked remotely the whole time with zero lag. Highly recommend!

Great gem hidden in BGC. Walking distance to market market and uptown mall within 15min walk. Value for money.
